So yeah currently my instinct lie towards Lenovo. It will happen, but just takes more time than people like. QC for Gigabyte can be a bit hit and miss from what I've heard, and the RMA process is more of a pain. Gigabyte comes with 2 year warranty, and Lenovo I think you have to pay more, but can get 3 year warranty. But currently I would lean towards Lenovo as I mainly use my laptop in one spot as a desktop replacement at home, and given that it's a bigger brand, so more likely to source parts if it needs a fix in the future (impossible to find parts of old Gigabyte laptops). I like extra screen real estate height a lot, but if I was valuing portability the Gigabyte is a little better (though I'd also look at Asus, or consider just getting a 100W usb C charger). I used it extensively for gaming and rendering everyday and it was worth it, but yeah would've liked another year or two on it as spec-wise it still holds up well for my needs. Yeah it served me well during its lifespan.
